Each year there are seven periodic releases of the database. These releases update the database with current data from various sources, such as 1 Cijfer HO from DUO, the HBO-monitor, the National Alumni Survey and the National Student Survey (NSE).
The basis of the Studiekeuzedatabase is RIO (Registration of Institutions and Programmes). With each release, the currently enrollable programmes are updated based on the data in RIO.
During each release a number of sources are updated.
